Privacy Policy

BeTest Academy ("we", "the platform") is a free, gamified learning platform. This policy explains what information we handle and why, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, contact us at overonconsulting@gmail.com.

1. Using BeTest Academy without an account

You don't need an account to use the platform. Your learning progress (points completed, test scores, XP, streak, badges, settings) is stored only in your own browser, using its local storage. We never see this data and it never leaves your device unless you choose to create an account.

2. Creating an account

Creating an account is optional and only exists so your progress can follow you across devices. Accounts are handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) using either an email address and password, or Google Sign-In. When you sign in, your local progress is synced to our database (Firebase Firestore) under your account, protected by access rules so that only you can read or write your own data — we do not read it manually and never sell or share it with third parties for advertising.

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, and message you provide, only to be able to read and respond to you. This is a write-only submission: it isn't displayed publicly anywhere on the site.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the platform:

• Firebase (Google) — hosting, optional authentication, and optional cloud sync of your progress.
• Google Fonts — loads the site's typefaces from Google's servers, which may see your IP address as part of that request.

These providers may process basic technical data (such as IP address) as part of delivering their service. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. We do not use advertising networks or analytics trackers at this time — see our Cookie Policy for the full picture.

5. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored progress stays on your device until you clear your browser's site data. Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and associated data, email us at overonconsulting@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

6. Children's privacy

BeTest Academy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to how it's processed. To exercise any of these, email overonconsulting@gmail.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves (for example, if we add analytics or new features that touch personal data). We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
